Lollapalooza is an annual music festival held in Chicago featuring alternative rock, hip hop, and punk rock bands, dance and comedy performances, and craft booths. It has also provided a platform for non-profit and political groups. Lollapalooza has featured a diverse range of bands and has helped expose and popularize alternative rock groups such as Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hole, and Green Day.

This year’s event will be held August 3- 5th 2012 on Chicago Lake Front in Grant Park.
