The Museum of Science and Industry

One of the most exciting attractions near the Ramada Inn Lakeside Hotel Chicago has always been the Museum of Science and Industry. As a child it brought your imagination to new levels of excitement. As an adult it brings back the child in you! It’s an experience that the whole family will enjoy and yet it’s educational! It’s just like an amusement park in that you can be there for a whole day and still not see everything!

The Museum of Science and Industry has had some of the greatest of exhibits such as the U505 submarine. This German submarine was captured of the coast of Africa in 1944. It is the only German submarine on display in the United States. It has been completely restored and you can explore the inner workings of the magnificent vessel!

The museums other exhibits such as the Pioneer Zepher, The Coal Mine, The Farm, the 727 jet all offer you an experience that you will never forget. The Ramada Lake Shore Chicago hotel is only 5 minutes away from the Museum of Science and Industry and even offers a scheduled shuttle over to the museum. In fact stay at the Ramada Chicago hotel and be close to all the great Chicago museums.
